Open Members' Meeting - Community

Join us for the first Members' event of the year! This quarter's theme is 'community', a pressing topic in all of our organisations.

For grantmakers, connecting with the communities they support isn't just about goodwill, it's about strategic effectiveness. By forging relationships with local organisations and residents, grantmakers gain a deeper understanding of the issues on the ground. This allows them to fund initiatives that truly address community needs, avoiding a one-size-fits-all approach.

Beginning with a Members' Voices session, we will hear from the Essentia Foundation, speaking on their reaction to changes in the third sector and how they are seeking to fill funding gaps as a grant maker.

This session will be followed by a presentation by Elaine Wilson, Head of Learning and Development at the Corra Foundation to talk about how funders can support human rights issues.

We are looking forward to hearing your thoughts on how we can better the communities we serve.
